Hyatt Place Chicago/Downtown - The Loop
Our Hyatt Place Chicago/Downtown - The Loop is a LEED-NC Silver certified building. The sustainable elements include 75% (by cost) use of recycled material content and the installation of a green roof to manage storm water. Additionally, to optimize the quality of the indoor environment for future guests, the building has been designed with operable windows and all adhesives, sealants, paints, coatings and carpet products used are low-VOC.

Marriott – Boulder
In 2019, we completed an exterior lighting upgrade at our Marriott – Boulder. The LED lights used in the retrofit represent reduced total annual energy consumption by an estimated 62,000 kWh and an anticipated annualized cost savings of $6,000 per year. The increased lifespan of these lights also results in less disposal, thereby reducing contamination of the environment and landfills. This retrofit is part of our Energy Management Program to conserve natural resources and reduce our carbon footprint.

DoubleTree - San Francisco Airport North
We recently installed solar window film treatments and interior and exterior LED lighting upgrades at our DoubleTree - San Francisco Airport North. The SolarGard CX-35 window film reduces glare and prevents the transfer of heat from the outside environment into the guestrooms. Since completion of the project in late 2017, we have reduced our total annual energy consumption by 178,000 kWh and saved $27,000 in electric costs.
